It can be terrifying choosing a countertop material. What can handle all my hot pans? Which one will withstand all the projects? Where do I even begin? What one will overall be the best for me? And maybe that doesn’t sound that bad but once you bring in the idea that you have to choose one that will last because it isn’t a throw pillow you can switch out every few months, then it starts to get a little nerve racking.

Deciding which countertop is best all depends on where it is being used, for what purpose is it being used and your personal preference of course. If you are looking at scales of resistance levels, some are obviously more durable materials than others. Take marble for instance, it isn’t the best at resisting stains, heat, scratches or impact as compared to other materials. However, that hasn’t stopped people all over the world from using for centuries. It might not be as hard as Granite but it works well for interior or exterior and only becomes more beautiful with time.
